We know there's water on the Moon, but questions remain about how it got there, where it's stored, and how it moves around. In a new study, scientists from China have identified tiny glass beads in the lunar soil as potential places where water could hide. And we're talking about a lot of water too, perhaps as much as 270 trillion kilograms (297.6 billion tons) of the stuff. Astronomers Find A Potential 'Major Planet' Orbiting A Dead Star That Can Support Life For At Least 1 Billion Years Into The Future

It turns out that stars like our sun do not have to be alive and strong in order to support life on planets orbiting them. Scientists discovered a possible "major planet" circling a fading sun that might host life for future generations. The "surprising" discovery was made by researchers from University College London while watching a white dwarf, the burning remnants of a star that ran out of hydrogen fuel. It is about 117 light-years away from us. This star, known as WD1054-226, has a ring of planetary rubble in its orbital habitable zone, also known as the Goldilocks zone, where temperatures should enable the planet to have liquid water on its surface. If the newfound planet is proved to be a life-sustaining world, it will be the first time a life-sustaining planet has been identified around a dying sun. Scientists believe they have discovered a portal to the Fifth Dimension

In a new study, scientists say that a particle that links to a fifth dimension can explain dark matter. (The previous article has been updated.) The “ warped extra dimension ” (WED) is a trademark of a popular physics model that was first introduced in 1999. This research, which was published in The European Physical Journal C, is the first to use the theory to explain the long-standing dark matter problem in particle physics. The idea of dark matter, which makes up most of the matter in the universe, is the basis for what we know about how the universe works. Dark matter is like a pinch-hitter that helps scientists figure out how gravity works. Without a “ x factor ” of dark matter, many things would dissolve or fall apart.
